ARLINGTON, Texas -- With one swing in the first inning, Nolan Arenado quickly took the drama out of whether he would match Colorados record hitting streak and set the Rockies up for another rout over Texas. Alvin Kamara Jersey . Arenados two-run double in the first extended his hitting streak to 27 games, matching teammate Michael Cuddyers record streak from last year. It also put Colorado ahead to stay on way to its third lopsided victory over the Rangers in as many nights, 9-2 on Wednesday. "Nolan is one of those guys thats really locked in right now, and it was good to see him get that hit in the first at-bat," manager Walt Weiss said. "I think that kind of set the tone." That was the first of three hits for Arenado, who is hitting .364 (39 of 107) in the streak that started a month ago Friday. His streak is the longest for anyone 23 years or younger since Albert Pujols had a 30-gamer in 2003 when he was 23. "Its pretty cool, pretty cool," Arenado said. "Im trying to stay within myself, Im not trying to get too big, or trying to hit the home run. Im just trying to hit the ball hard. Im going to keep on saying that until the year is over." Carlos Gonzalez homered for Colorado, which has outscored Texas 29-5 in three games this week. The Rockies won 8-2 and 12-1 at home with a combined 34 hits before the teams shifted to Texas for two games. "Weve got to ride this wave while its going good," said Weiss, whose teams 22 wins are tied for the most in the majors. Every starter had a hit for the Rockies, who finished with 16 and got 12 of them in 3 2-3 innings off Colby Lewis (2-2). Jorge De La Rosa (4-3) struck out four and walked three. The lefty gave up two runs over six innings while winning its fourth consecutive start. Adrian Beltre homered for Texas and became only the fifth player in major league history with 100 home runs for three different teams. After not getting a hit until his fifth plate appearance Tuesday night, Arenado wasted no time Wednesday. His double followed consecutive two-out hits by MLB-leading hitter Troy Tulowitzki (.414) and Gonzalez. Lewis got the first two batters out in each of the first three innings before allowing multiple hits each time. But the Rockies failed to score in the second and again in the third, when Arenado was tagged out halfway between third and home by first baseman Prince Fielder after Colorado had two runners caught between bases. The last nine batters faced by Lewis had six singles in a row and consecutive sacrifice flies by Corey Dickerson and Tulowitzki before Gonzalez homered, his seventh of the season capping a five-run fourth to make it 7-0. Lewis had allowed 12 hits twice before, including against Colorado at home two years ago. "I got beat. Thats all there is to it," Lewis said. "I think Colorado just needs to leave town." Colorado had 13 hits before Texas finally got Michael Choices one-out single in the fourth. Beltre followed with his homer to straightaway centre, his second this season after hitting the first a night earlier. Beltre, in his fourth season with Texas, previously hit 147 homers for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1998-2004) and 103 homers for Seattle (2005-09). The other players with 100 homers for three different teams are Darrell Evans (Atlanta, San Francisco and Detroit), Reggie Jackson (Kansas City/Oakland, New York Yankees, California), Alex Rodriguez (Seattle, Texas and Yankees) and Jim Thome (Cleveland, Philadelphia, Chicago White Sox). Scott Baker, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock earlier Wednesday, pitched the final 5 1-3 innings for Texas. It was only Bakers fifth relief appearance in 167 career major league games, most with the Minnesota Twins from 2005-11 before the right-hander had Tommy John surgery in April 2012. He made three starts for the Chicago Cubs last September. "He came in and gave us a chance," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "He settled in and started getting some outs, but we wasnt able to get to them." NOTES: Rangers 2B Donnie Murphy left the game with a neck strain after tripping over first base trying to beat out a grounder to end the sixth. ... Colorado throws another lefty Thursday in Franklin Morales (3-1, 5.05 ERA). Weiss said Morales is finding his rhythm as a starter again after being a reliever the past 5 years. Colorado has won his last four starts after losing his first two. Bob Pollard Jersey .J. -- The New York Jets have promoted Tony Sparano Jr. Patrick Omameh Jersey . After all, the No. 8 seed is chasing far loftier goals. Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., defeated American Jack Sock 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in Wimbledons second round on Thursday. http://www.customsaintsjersey.com/custom-zach-wood-jersey-large-2852e.html . The American secured his first back-to-back ATP match wins since June to leave Tsonga relying on his performance at next weeks Paris Masters to clinch one of the final three places for the season-ending event in London. Tsonga would have moved up one spot to No. 6 with a win over Querrey at the City of Arts and Sciences, but his serve deserted him in the second set as the 116th-ranked American broke twice to reach the quarter-finals.NEW YORK -- John Farrell is getting tired, tired of watching the Boston Red Sox waste opportunity after opportunity. The World Series champions failed each of the four times it had runners in scoring position, eking out just two hits while facing No. 5 starter Vidal Nuno and three relievers in an 6-0 loss to the New York Yankees on Friday night. "Again, the base hit with the guy in scoring position has been elusive," Farrell said. The Red Sox put runners on in each of the first three innings against Nuno (2-4), who gave up 13 runs in 9 1-3 innings over his last two starts, but came up empty in the sixth loss in eight games against New York this season. Boston is hitting .227 with RISP, a big part of the reason they are just 36-44. The Red Sox scored three runs or fewer for the 11th time in 13 games and losing for the sixth time in eight games. Fourth in the rugged AL East, Boston trails the Yankees, who entered the night in third, by six games. "I think weve got the right guys in here, guys who have been around and know what they have to do," Brock Holt said. "Its just a matter of going out and doing it." Brandon Workman (1-1) pitched seven adequate innings but allowed a sacrifice fly to Mark Teixeira and consecutive homers to Kelly Johnson and Brett Gardner. Workman allowed four runs, seven hits and two walks. He struck out five. "Little bit of a grind the whole time," Workman said. "I was constantly pitching with guys on." Brian McCann added a two-run homer off Craig Breslow in the eighth. In his first at-bat as a 40-year-old, Derek Jeter fisted a single to right field with one out in the first. His birthday was on Thursday, the Yankees final day off before playing 17 straight going into the All-Star break. After Jacoby Ellsbury doubled, Jeter scored on Teixeiras sacrifice fly for the early lead. The Yankees captain also singled in the fourth for hit No. 3,390 and went 2 for 4 in New Yorks second win in six games. New York manager Joe Girardi could have sskipped the struggling Nuno and given the ball to rookie ace Masahiro Tanaka because of the extra day of rest but, in a feisty pregame Q&A with media, Girardi insisted he was interested in protecting his entire staff, not just the Japanese sensation. Taysom Hill Jersey. Nuno rewarded Girardi with 5 2-3 impressive innings. He yielded a leadoff single to Jonny Gomes in the second and a one-out double in the third to Holt. Nuno then retired 10 straight before walking David Ortiz, his last batter. "Ive had confidence in him but were in a situation where these are the five guys that we have," Girardi said. "Hes pitched some good games for us. ... He seems to always bounce back and give us a good outing." Dellin Betances, Adam Warren and Matt Thornton finished the three-hitter. Holt possibly saved a run in the second when he made a leaping catch above the wall on Brian Roberts fly to right field. But he could only watch as Johnsons two-run homer in the fourth went deep into the bleachers in right field, his first home run in 85 at-bats. "It was a good feeling," Johnson said, "to drive a ball like that but also to give us some more breathing room." Gardner connected six pitches later, giving New York a 4-0 lead. NOTES: Red Sox SS Stephen Drew snapped an 0-for-29 skid with a double in the seventh. ... Farrell said LHP Felix Dubront is being bumped to the bullpen. Dubront was not happy. "I have to stay positive and do my work," Dubront said. ... Boston OF Shane Victorino (strained right hamstring) and 3B Will Middlebrooks (broken finger) had setbacks in their rehabs. Both have stopped baseball activities and there are no timetables for their return. ... Yankees LHP CC Sabathia (right knee) will make his first rehab start Saturday for Class-A Tampa. Sabathia has been out since May 11 with degenerative cartilage problem in his knee. He will likely need to make two more rehab starts. ... Up next: a matchup of aces. Boston LHP Jon Lester (8-7) vs. Tanaka (11-2). ' ' '
